The 2023 Festive of Books did not disappoint. I enjoyed listening to several Latinx authors. I had the opportunity to reunite with Dr. Miguel Montiel and Dr. Yvonne de la Torre Montiel, two former colleagues during my time as a student and staff member at Arizona State University.

In February 2023, the University of Arizona Poetry Center featured Juan Felipe Herrera, the 21st United States Poet Laureate from 2015 to 2017.

I have been involved with Rincon Writers for over ten years. We are a group of women who meet monthly to share our work, receive feedback, and encourage each other. We develop writing prompts on a variety of topics that result in heartfelt poetry and storytelling.
