Books

My poems and stories cover the uniqueness of my mother, my family members and friends and the grief felt when losing loved ones. My stories and poems reflect my Mexican American background; several pieces have Spanish interspersed throughout. I describe how special places I have visited contributed to a sense of peace and staying grounded. I write prayers and about spirituality, which I hope is good for your soul. I also write my perspective with regards to the
current issues we are facing—racism, the impact of COVID-19, the insurrection and more.

Reflections of the Heart: Stories and Poems from Life

The journey of a writer is one of storytelling, opening one's heart and reflecting on special moments with those we love. Reflections of the Heart: Stories and Poems from Life covers an array of emotions—love, loss, awareness, joy, compassion, and serenity. It begins with the author's self-reflection and provides a tribute to family members and friends.

Dichos de mi Padre; Says of My Father

Dichos de mi Padre honors our ancestors and expresses the pride of being a Mexican-American. We all stand on the shoulders of our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles and aunts. They influence us and contribute to who we are. This is a book about family and the richness of our connections and the values we hold dear.

For me, writing is healing and I hope that it can be for you too.
