Return of the Corn Mothers--A Multicultural, Multi-generational Photojournalism Exhibit of Women of the Southwest

In 2009 I was nominated to be a Corn Mother along with my Godmother, Nellie Escobedo Plasencio.  My Godmother was nominated first and as I was working on her bio and Information I called the founder of the Return of the Corn Mothers project for additional information so that I could submit everything correctly and on time.  In that discussion, Dr. Renee Fajardo stated, "We have not had a Godmother and Goddaughter as part of this exhibit.  Please submit yours as well."  It was an honor to be part of this historical project with my Nina (Godmother).  We were inducted in 2010 at Arizona State University's Museum of Anthropology.
